In the meanwhile, Nandri Kinderhilfe e.V. supports three different projects in the South-Indian State of Tamil Nadu.
The largest project is the “Little Flower School” located about one-and-a-half hours from the capital of Chennai. This school is located in the middle of brick kilns and barren scrubland. The children of the kulis (unskilled laborers and illiterates) visit this school, but also children from neighboring villages and villages further away.
The orphanage „Hope for Future“ is located in Poonjeri. This home is managed by a young Indian family and presently houses 26 children.
Nandri Kinderhilfe e.V. also supports „Torsiello’s Tailoring Institute“, a small tailoring institute. This project offers underpriviledged women the opportunity to become tailors, in this way enabling them to earn their own living.
